The creature that emerged looked like something out of a nightmare. It had strange, horn-like fins on its head and a mouth wide enough to swallow a cooler whole. It was a Giant Manta Ray, rarely seen this close to shore.

Known historically as “sea devils” due to their terrifying appearance, these giants can reach a wingspan of over 20 feet. The sheer scale of the animal next to the small child was horrifying to behold.

But the predicted attack never happened. The massive ray hovered in the water, maintaining its position with gentle undulations of its wings. It was waiting patiently, its cavernous mouth open near the surface.
