Officer Jenna Ramirez of Springfield PD later confirmed the suspect was a known repeat offender believed to target homes that appeared empty or quiet at night. “The combination of the babysitter’s alertness and the father’s quick use of home surveillance technology played a crucial role in preventing a potentially dangerous confrontation,” Ramirez said.
